What type of dust collector should be configured for biomass boilers?

For dust removal from biomass boilers, a centralized or decentralized dust removal system is generally selected according to the process flow, and the available dust is recovered as much as possible under the conditions allowed by the process. The core of the dust removal system is the various types of dust collectors, including baghouse, electrostatic precipitator and electric baghouse. Bag filter technology is the primary dust removal technology. Baghouse dust collectors use depth filtration or surface filtration to block the dust outside the filter cloth and pass clean gas, which has the advantages of high dust removal efficiency, adaptability and simple maintenance. With the improvement of bag filter media quality, the dust concentration of bag filter is generally below 30mg/m3.

In order to solve the problem of sticky components such as carbon black in biomass combustion flue gas dust which tend to cause sticky bags, equipment powder spraying system and flame arrestor are set on the flue between cyclone separator and bag type dust collector.

Based on the experience accumulated in the biomass boiler dust removal industry, a bag type pulse dust collector is used. Considering the flue gas temperature and mixing sparks, a cyclone collector was used in front of the bag filter, which reduces the flue gas temperature and separates large particles with ignition conditions. In order to reduce the resistance of the whole system, a cyclone collector with low resistance is chosen.
