After the fuel is atomised by the burner, a torch is formed which fills the full waveform furnace chamber and transmits radiant heat through the walls of the chamber, which is the first stage. The high temperature flue gases from the combustion converge in the reburning chamber and are diverted into the threaded flue pipe, this is the second stage. Finally the flue gases are diverted from the front flue box and enter the third return process in the light tube bundle area. The whole process is fully combusted and, together with equipment such as energy savers and condensers at the end of the flue, ensures that the thermal efficiency of the boiler can be as high as 98% or more.
