What does CFBC stand for?

When we talk about CFBC in the industrial boiler sector, we are usually referring to circulating fluidized bed combustion. Circulating fluidized bed (CFB) is a type of fluidized bed combustion that uses a recirculation loop to achieve higher combustion efficiency.

Fluidization is a phenomenon in which solid particles are transported into a fluid-like state by being suspended in a gas or liquid. The resulting mixture of gas and solids promotes rapid heat transfer and chemical reactions within the bed.

Circulating fluidized beds are a relatively new technology capable of achieving low pollutant emissions. Over the past 15 years, this technology has been studied extensively due to growing concerns about the pollution caused by traditional coal combustion methods and their sustainability.
